SPECTACULAR Polo Al Saltimbocca, really, excellent blend of flavors and impressive portion. Not impressive coffee. Super attentive staff all around. A bit noisy in the narrow back section the way the acoustics work there. Definitely going back. 4.5

Food was excellent! Quality is very high and the chef is a genius in layering flavors in his dishes. Best Bruschetta I've ever had and I'm Italian who learned from his mom and I worked with professional chefs in the past! The portions are just right and the service and ambiance is very pleasing. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Wow! We had been before and enjoyed and this time place was even better than I remembered! The staff, Marina & Ismer were very attentive and gave great service. My food was incredible! I had the Branzino special and they were able to accommodate with gluten free pasta. It was absolutely delicious! I really loved it! If I had to say anything to improve, I thought the clam appetizer could use a few more clams. My husband had the mozzarella and tomato and this was fantastic, so he was able to share. It's a byob so bring some wine or whatever you drink. All in all it was a nice evening and I highly recommend!

The absolute best gnocchi I have ever had. Always make my way back to Sapore every summer because it's my favorite Italian restaurant. I love the decent prices and the fact it's BYOB. Be sure to make a reservation!

This wonderful Italian restaurant, set inside a Victorian house in West Cape May with beautiful outdoor gardens, is a must go. Really enjoyed our visit here as the atmosphere, the service and the food are all top notch. To start, we made reservations for their outdoor seating which was perfect as not only was it a beautiful early evening the patio and the surrounding gardens made for a perfect setting. All the servers here were very friendly and attentive and we began with an order of their Fried Calamari which was lightly battered and super tender. My only criticism of them would be that they were cut a little big but because they were so tender, it wasn't much of an issue. For our mains, my wife went with the Capellini alla Positano, capellini pasta sautéed with crabmeat, extra virgin olive oil, garlic and capers in tomato sauce with white wine. My wife couldn't stop eating it and said it was literally one of the best dishes she's ever eaten. Myself, I went with one of their signature specials, the Filet of Branzino with shrimp, artichokes, cherry tomatoes and capers, finished in a white wine lemon sauce and served over capellini. One of the best branzino dishes in have ever had. The fish was tender and everything just went together perfectly in the light white wine and lemon sauce. What a great spot, we will definitely be coming back soon.

Firstly, I must commend the hostess. We entered at 6 PM for a 6 o'clock reservation...Only I inadvertently booked the wrong Sunday! Sigh. It's July in a shore town and the hostess was understanding and found a way to get us a table for 4. Many thanks!! This is a cute house restaurant, good enough Italian food and BYOB. No credit card fee! Parking is tight, but we lucked out with a spot in their lot. There's street parking anyway. All of the dishes we ordered were good and prepared well. Bolognese, scampi, mixed seafood risotto and even their white clam sauce. All tasty and nothing gross. Pasta was Al dente all around and they know how to make a risotto too. I have no major complaints here, but they did bring out our food a bit staggered. 3 dishes came out, the guy said bon appetit and left as if that was it. A few minutes later, my food came out. No comment from them or acknowledgement of it. It was overall a good choice I think over some of the spots in the main shopping area. Oh, and I think there's only 1 bathroom (toilet)... For everyone.

We came during restaurant week and wow what an amazing restaurant and deal. The customer service is unmatched. Our waitress Olga was the best she constantly checked on us and was amazing with our two kids. The food was really good and fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back. So cozy and cute.

This is based off our Restaurant Week experience. Having never eaten here before, I was pleasantly surprised by Sapore Italiano. For my Prix Fixe meal, I chose: seafood chowder, pasta misto, short rib, and tiramisu. My friend chose: seafood chowder, pasta misto, pollo Oscar, and torta della nonna. Everything was awesome from start to finish. The seafood chowder had this calamari that was so tender that we mistakened it for pasta at first. The pasta misto was such a good option to give to all the Prix Fixe dinners! There's three different pasta dishes that are very distinct from one another. My favorite pasta dish there was the gnocchi with the Gorgonzola cheese sauce. And the main dish: the short rib was the best part of the meal. The meat was so tender and the sauce went well with it. I love that the desserts included a coffee because it did complement both desserts very well. Also wanted to give props to our server Jovi! He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the dishes and explained them very well. He also fixed our wobbly tank very promptly when we first sat down. The meal was perfect. This is definitely one of the better Restaurant Week choices. Although one thing to note is that they seem to go all in on Restaurant Week. Their regular menu was not available at all which disappointed anointer customer. Just something to know. Would wholeheartedly recommend coming here, great place to eat for a special occasion. Also, their patio is great for dining in! If the weather is cooperative, I recommend it since the area is a great backdrop for a meal.

02/16/24 Hunting around Cape May, wife found Sapore Italiano. An old home renovated into a restaurant with mostly small rooms upstairs and down. We were seated upstairs in a small room... but not crowded. My wife and I started sharing the beet/goat cheese salad, which was great with lots of beets. I ordered the Capelini crab, my wife, the Risotto pescado, both dishes very enjoyable. My SIL had their salmon, my BIL the Parpadelle short rib dish. We all enjoyed our dishes and would be happy to return next time we're in the area with a nice bottle of wine, since it's BYOB!
